Charity Week; Day Two, Environmental Causes

  If you like to support conservation efforts, here are a few charities you might consider.  Again, all are top rated on the American Institute of Philanthropy and meet the 20 standards as set by the Better Business Bureau.

Rainforest Alliance: 
The Rainforest Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior.  The Alliance appreciates corporate gifts, but has a few different ways to give.  Click here to find out more.

Union of Concerned Scientists:
The Union of Concerned Scientists is the leading science-based nonprofit working for a healthy environment and a safer world. UCS combines independent scientific research and citizen action to develop innovative, practical solutions and to secure responsible changes in government policy, corporate practices, and consumer choices. Earthworks:
EARTHWORKS is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting communities and the environment from the destructive impacts of mineral development, in the U.S. and worldwide.  You can join in their fight to save the environment, or donate here.


The Trust for Public Land:
TPL conserves land for people to enjoy as parks, community gardens, historic sites, rural lands, and other natural places, ensuring livable communities for generations to come. They have a gift matching program, click here to find out more.

The World Resource Institute:
Their mission is to motivate society to live in ways that protect Earth’s environment and its capacity to provide for the needs and aspirations of current and future generations.  They work with four goals in mind; climate protection, governance, markets & enterprise, and people & ecosystems.  To donate, click here.
