House Joint Resolution 4220: A plea from a grieving mother.

We received this email from one of our clients whose son was killed by offenders on supervision.  She agreed to let us share it with you.

For those who know me I am not a political person.  Not into sending things on politics or voting (except maybe an occasional joke now and again).  I figure you know what you want.   But today I am asking all of you in Washington to PLEASE vote to accept  “House Joint Resolution 4220”.

The proposed constitutional amendment would authorize courts to deny bail for offenses punishable by the possibility of life in prison, on clear and convincing evidence of a propensity for violence that would likely endanger persons.

This is for the four police officers, Greg Richards, Mark Renninger, Tina Griswold and Ronald Owens, the young teacher killed by her stalker, Jennifer Paulson, and my son, Kurt, who were all killed because the people involved should have been denied bail.

If this saves only one life it is well worth the time it takes for you to vote it into law.

Thank You,
Jan Husted
